Garden Vignettes Textile Class is offered as part of the Nature\u2019s Medicine: Rest & Rejuvenate in Lebanon\u2019s Japanese Gardens series and introduces participants to the art of translating garden-inspired imagery into cloth, guided by textile artisan Judilee Fitzhugh, who specializes in natural dyes and couture sewing. You\u2019ll begin by spending time in the healing garden, taking photos or making sketches of a scene or object that resonates with you. Back in the classroom, you\u2019ll learn to use a combination of fabric layering and embroidery stitching to render your inspiration image in textiles. You\u2019ll leave with a uniquely personal memento ready to frame or use as a decorative patch or panel for a future project.<\/p>\n

No previous experience required. Participants will complete a 5\u201dx7\u201d piece during the class.<\/p>\n
